Netball flocks to new female founded sportswear brand

The Netball community is a special one made up of so many inspirational characters; the go-getters, the team players, those that empower others and those that challenge the status quo. It’s time there was a truly aspirational brand for our sport – a brand that represents the 20 million people that play Netball worldwide.

On 6th January 2021, a new female founded sportswear brand was launched alongside some of the biggest names in World Netball including Serena Guthrie MBE, Natalie Haythornthwaite, defender Stacey Francis and one of the most capped International players of all time, Jade Clarke.

Flyhawk was born from a love of the sport, with a focus on redefining the comfort, performance, and style for netball apparel tailored specifically to suit players at grassroots level through to world class professionals.

The Directors of Flyhawk recognise the massive growth potential within the market for the brand and the opportunity to be a category leader in Women’s Sport.

Flyhawk Founder & Director, Stephanie Essex commented:

“After well over a year out from the sportswear industry, watching from the sidelines so to speak, I realised how underrepresented our sport is when it comes to team apparel, often nothing more than a bolt on for many brands or a tick box to win larger contracts.

The Netball community is a special one made up of so many inspirational characters; the go-getters, the team players, those that empower others and those that challenge the status quo. It’s time there was a truly aspirational brand for our sport – a brand that represents the 20 million people that play Netball worldwide.

We are building a loyal community and one which has already captured the imagination and excitement of an innovative sporting organisation who have recently joined our Flock! Official announcement coming very soon.”

Driven by a state-of-the-art digital business model, Flyhawk offers a fully bespoke apparel range, using the very best performance fabrics on offer to exceed the expectations of the Global Netball market and which offer athletes and sports teams innovation, imagination and a brand to call their own.

Serena Guthrie MBE, reiterated the excitement around the brand.

“I’m so excited to be part of a new brand for our sport! Empowering women & girls has always been important to me & helping build a market leading apparel brand for the global netball community is a great fit.”

Flyhawk have made it clear they intend to be at the forefront of memorable and historic moments within the future of Netball and Women’s Sport.

Stacey Francis, International Netball Athlete, talks about joining the Flyhawk flock.

“To be asked to be a part of a brand that is dedicated to raising the bar specifically for women’s sport and netball apparel is a privilege. It isn’t just another sports brand, it’s a community!”
